I usually try to eat 1 fruit (or vegetable) a day but I'm getting sick of apples. I've also had bananas a bit too much, plus oranges are a bit difficult to casually eat in a train or at work.

I've also had a few mandarines but the peels tend to get messy. But I might get some of those.

Any suggestions for something new? I tried radishes once and they're great, but the clean ones are expensive and the fresh ones take forever to clean up.

I eat a mango a day. When a mango isn't available I'll dig into some melon, usually cantaloupe. I'd like to have some papaya but I can't find it cheap enough, not paying $5 a fruit. You can eat them on a train if you cut them before hand.

Also at least 5 bananas a week.

Omg I love mango. But I fear my local supermarket might not have it. Otherwise I'll have to just stock up in the weekend.

My regular mart wants to charge $2 per mango. I found a new market based solely on the price of mangos.

good god, yinello - only ONE fruit OR vegetable/day? you don't know what you are missing!

if you want food you can eat on the go, try celery sticks, carrots, bell peppers (you can even eat those out of hand, like an apple), sugar snap peas, cherry or grape tomatoes (cherries and grapes are also good as fruits). they may take a little prep before you go (peeling and cutting up), but some of them you can get already prepped, or you can do a batch and keep them in the fridge. for other fruits - plums are also good (as are peaches and nectarines, but they tend to be a bit messier), strawberries, blackberries, raspberries - any kind of berries, really.

what on earth do you live on??

Two different kinds of cheese: the one with the blue cap on the spray can, and the one with the orange cap on the spray can.

that's not cheese - that's cheese food. it's what you feed real cheese.

Has anyone here replaced an iPad 2 screen with a DIY kit? If so, any advice about where you got the kit? My screen broke about an hour ago, though thankfully the device still works, so I am looking for options I can use when next I get paid.

(Preemptively: I am not part of yon legion of Apple fanboys, so no need converting me. When I can afford it I am going to find a decently repairable device I can run Linux on. Which will happen sometime in the next decade, after I save up for new underwear and a trip to Burger King.)

I got a Dyson with pet hair attachment specifically to remove the hair. Not a lot of attachments work but that one does. To get the biggest layer of hair off the tops of couches and chairs, I used to dampen my hands and do it manually - it is gross but it helps a little.

Question: how should I store my fresh greens? I put them in the fridge and they are now super limp (kale, green onions, etc). What am I doing wrong?

Does your fridge have a crisper drawer? It's the one usually labeled "vegetables" and it has the sliding humidity setting. The humidity will keep your vegetables from getting limp. Fruits should also be kept in a crisper drawer, but they should be seperate from veggies because they require a lower humidity. Some fridges come with a seperate "fruits" drawer.
