any of you know how to stop cats from pissing/shitting outside of their litter box? I foolishly said how brilliant I was in actually cleaning the litter box thoroughly after my brothers girlfriend claimed she cleaned it two or three days a week (shit was caked so bad I could be convinced she meant weeks), then one of the cats pissed in my bed.

Everytime your cat pisses somewhere else except in the litter box, push their face down in it. Hard. It's what I did when I got my kitten, I shoved his face in his pee. The unpleasantness of it all will be enough for the cat to remember that what he did was bad. If he does a poo and I can imagine you don't want to shove his face in that, bring him close to that area and then scold him by tapping him on the nose.

Also when he does go to the litter box to do their thing, give them a little treat after. Even a little bit of cat food will suffice. After a few time the cat will associate doing their thing in the litter box is good.

This kind of training shouldn't last more than a week and it's pretty effective.

are cats different from dogs in that regard then? because i know that's something you aren't supposed to do with dogs.

cats idk, cats are weird

It works fine with cats, mine are happy (too happy, stop attacking my feet in the morning) and they don't piss outside the litter box. I've never had a dog so I wouldn't know.

Dogs are weirder. Razz

He kind of semi-voluntarily disappeared from the internet back when we were still on Keenspot, if I remember correctly.

Anyone know how to block ads in the Skype client? They're really fucking terrible.

I think his wife... didn't appreciate the time he was spending with us. Or some of us. If I recall correctly.

he used to post in livejournal, occasionally, but with the comments turned off. i think he more or less decided to become an adult - they had a kid about then, and they were fixing up the house, stuff like that.

They have a dog and his name is Sprinkles and he's brown with two little white spots over his left eye! I know because he loved me best!

Uhm, hello.

Right now, I'm both president and secretary pro tem of the local Friends of the Library. I am kinda at a loss, seeing that almost no one attends the meetings and that not much is done.

I'm just asking for suggestions on how to spread the word and increase membership.

And before you wonder how I got stuck with both, I was nominated for both, seeing that I am really the most active of the group after the president and secretary before the ones I replaced resigned. *shrugs*

What is it you do at the meetings exactly? Discuss how the Library is doing?

Didn't someone left the community because her husband (and her religion) made her leave?

Yinello: FotL is a non-profit group (in the making, sent out paperwork a while back) that helps with assorted fundraising for the library. We discuss fundraisers, basically, along with anything else that the public wishes to discuss.

And yeah, it was technically friend politics; although, I accepted the roles with resignation. You see, no one else wanted them. *sadmoose*
