I put some water in an empty Oasis bottle cap, but I'm not certain it can reach it. I also went to the store to buy some cheese and left a little near the water. It's definitely alive, and when I spilled a little water it moved its head in what I'm assuming was an attempt to drink.

then you've probably done what you can. it's always hard to try to help a wild creature - they experience a certain amount of stress just being around humans, and of course they tend to hide any symptoms or signs of weakness they can.

but i thank you for your kindness to mice.

after I placed some cheese next to its water, it moved more than I've seen it move so far: by turning completely away from both the cheese and the water to move to the opposite corner. So it's definitely not completely crippled.

I guess I'll cut a hole in the tub and let it go.

BTW, writing in first person is arguably more difficult than writing in third person.

Here is an example of first person, past tense: http://xroads.virginia.edu/~hyper/POE/cask.html

I genuinely thought first person would be easier. Silly me! (Still it's fun to try something new.)

Journals and memoirs are common examples of first person prose.

OH! Uhhhh

Grabby McSkidmarks update

That one scam ministry sent me (Grabby McSkidmarks) a large envelope containing "Celebrate" magazine, which is basically a 30 page glossy-print advertisement for why I should give them money to proselytize to Muslims about Jesus (because 'Murica).

There are three 86-cent stamps on the envelope, so they're putting quite a lot of resources into sending me this stuff, but they still haven't sent me the free book they had promised Confused

They included another one of those no-postage-necessary return envelopes, so I responded by tearing a page out of a Gideon Bible (one that I interpreted to be vaguely anti-proselytism) and doodling the Great and Powerful Trixie (roll the 'r') on it, with a speech bubble declaring it to be worth ten Spirit Bits to help them on their Quest.

This was quite a while ago, and they seem to have given up on me now, so I guess it's time for Grabby to consider the Ministry arc to be closed and to start a new saga.

What brave new adventure will Grabby... erm, grab next?

They make it very clear that you should only ask them questions that you don't already know the answer to. Grabby already knows what she is doing, therefore the psychics will not. yaha~!

So one of my hobbies, when I'm really bored, is to look up people I know on Wikipedia (usually old professors or people I've met professionally) and then track down the real names and locations of people who have edited their Wikipedia pages. Is that weird?

Oh, and then to either send them very threatening or mildly threatening letters, depending on whether or not I agree with their edits.
