Personally, I think we're bearing witness to the birth of a new sub-plot... Buddha has become more and more prominent this past month. It may not be too long before he has actual dialoge... Or, perhaps, a contemplative inner monologue.

I know, Tat has all these little plots.. the one with squiggy, slick and the girl, its simply not enough for me. Where's the character development here?

It's simply not enough for you? Then go find a comic that can fill that void in your soul... I'm quite fond of Tat's Comic, and fear for the shit that would likely ensue if he started writing to suit each of our needs...

Im perfectly fine with the strip the way it is, I suppose I haven't made that clear. I was just trying to express that this view is indeed my own, and to not hide it in seemingly objective reasonings.
I feel that this strip could use more depth, because right now the jokes seem superficial at best. I'm not looking for another strip for my own tastes, I just want to see more development and growth out of the themes.
Perhaps you too, are dissapointed when you see another 'NIRVANA BLAST!' strip, playing on the same joke of reducing religious figures to imaginary toys? If you feel that way, then you know what I am trying to talk about.

| Personally, I like how Sinfest follows different story arcs, and somtimes none at all. It gives variety to the comic. Sure, a single plot line provides for faster character development, but it can get tedious and boring (not to mention really hard for an artist to come up with new and interesting stuff) with the same characters every day for years at a time. |

Actually, I think that most religious icons have been discredited and distilled down to "imaginary toys" by the very people who claim to follow them.
I've seen Tat do two things with his religious figures as characters.
1. Apply more human attributes and emotions.
2. Use them to highlight the mockery that contemporary culture has already made them.

I really like how you said that, and I agree. Tat has done pretty well imitating American thought, which my philosophy teacher called "Hobbesian". He explained that this meant that our ideas have more of a personal life and endurance instead of being words for a certain frame of reference.
Its a huge theme in this strip to make fun of contemporary culture imo, and Tat does that very well.

However, Im not critizing the quality of his work, nor the thought put into the strips. *IM* not the author after all, I am however hoping that Tat follows his work to a more decipherable end, i.e something we can take out of it. Most certainly he has avoided this, and I find that approriate as well.
