You want a double digit IQ?
Descriptive Classifications of Intelligence Quotients
IQ Description % of Population
130+ Very superior 2.2%
120-129 Superior 6.7%
110-119 High average 16.1%
90-109 Average 50%
80-89 Low average 16.1%
70-79 Borderline 6.7%
Below 70 Extremely low 2.2%
A double digit IQ would just barely make you average.
If you want to take an official test, there is info about how to take one on the Mensa website. There are links for different countries and contact info to find out when tests are offered. Often they are held at universities, and there are hundreds of online tests you can take if you don't want an official result.
Just google IQ tests.

90-109 Average 50% <---this would make people shut up about me being smart or bright and having potential and all that cuz its annoying
80-89 Low average 16.1%
70-79 Borderline 6.7%
Below 70 Extremely low 2.2%

I haven't got a clue. I took their test, but it mostly seems like they are all about making money by selling their reports.
Additionally, I believe IQ tests have changed somewhat in the past few years, so you may want to consider just taking an official one. There is a mini test on the US Mensa site that you can take, which is designed to tell you if you should even bother trying to take an official one if you want to get into their little "club". That one may be a little more trustworthy but I'm not sure. |
