it's australian, of course.

that should be their new tourist slogan:

COME TO AUSTRALIA - WE HAVE THE WEIRDEST SPIDERS EVER.

The peacock spider is precious, though.

Gah it's so hard not to spoil when you've read the books.

Though let's face it, she has no political power, no money and no influence - plus Varys pretty much sold Tyrion out. I feel bad for her.

this season seems to be drifting some from the books. i'm trying not to let it disturb me, and hoping for the best*.

that said, the response seems to be pretty much the general response the law gives to any woman who behaves in a way contrary to what society expects, when she attempts to participate in upholding the law.

*but seriously - did they have to make her betrayal so blatant?

I would be less worried about that than the whole Jaime thing.

Hard to have a redemption based character arc with a little rape in the middle.

You seem to be discussing a series that I have vowed never to get involved in.

Carry on! Spoilers will have no effect on me.

I know there seems to exist what has to be an unnaturally large proportion of arachnophobia on the internet but I never minded spiders, found some close up hairy face pictures to be cute, played with my brother's tarantula as child, etc., but that peacock spider is just freakin' adorable!

I'm actually glad that they are starting to deviate more from the books, and yeah, this season has been making some really prominent changes and in nearly every episode. I've always been concerned that the series will overtake the books, so this can allow them to keep both interesting if that happens. plus, it makes the show less predictable and more interesting for those of us who have read the books.

I love the friendship between Patrick Stewart And Ian McKellen! it just makes me so happy so witness it.

patrick stewart seems to be a really cool guy. haven't seen as much of ian mckellen just as himself, although he seemed to have fun on Colbert.

They certainly have done a good job, and they haven't changed too much that really pissed me off. Unfortunately though there is no way in hell George finishes before the show. The first book came out in 1996.

yes, and he keeps adding books on...really, he needs to focus on the endpoint, and stop wandering off in all directions.
