Um...yeah...what can I say that doesn't sound like boasting?
I seem to be able to figure out IQ test problems. Doesn't mean I have any common sense, though. _________________ -Agamemnon.....but you can call me Jake.

I'm with you on this Agamemnon - I scored 145 at IQtest.com, so I'm good at IQ tests. But may well be absolutely shit at anything else requiring actual intelligence |

What does high IQ prove?
Math and reasoning skills. So, you're good for a nerd. WELL DONE! _________________ Colours? What colours? |

Thank you for your interest in the test at IQTest.com.
Your general IQ score is: 138
You may login at http://www.iqtest.com/login.html at any time to view your score, purchase your Complete Personal Intelligence Profile or The Consciousness Exercises, or edit your account settings:
meh... I usually get higher scores but this one is based partially on how long it takes you to take it, and my friend kept bugging me in MSN.
Then I spent 20 minutes taking that other one you listed, and found out that I can't actually get results without paying $10 with Paypal, and I don't HAVE $10 OR a Paypal account. |

I did that too. I do have $10 and a Paypal account, but I'm just too damn cheap to pay for some test results
They should warn you a bit earlier 'do this test and we'll charge you' though. |

I got a 119 at IQTest.com. Like most things in my life it's not the biggest, but big enough. _________________ "Clambering up and over the powdery slope, the goblin chanced upon a small furry thing. There they regarded each other: the goblin and his new pair of earmuffs." |

It's not how high your IQ is, but what you can do with it. *wink wink nudge nudge* _________________ -Agamemnon.....but you can call me Jake.

In agreement with what everybody else is saying...
OK, here's my joke: My dad's a psychologist. I made him test me when I was in my early 20's 'cause I thought for some reason that being in MENSA would be a good idea. I tested [EDITED OUT BECAUSE WHO THE HELL CARES ANYWAY] on the Wechsler. Now, the punchline is, I spent 7 years in college (I was a Music Theory major so cut me a little slack), got 250 credits (needed 120 to graduate)...
...did not graduate. I was. One. Paper. Short.
I just... lost interest.
Now, how smart is that?

This may be a bunch of crap, but a professor told me that his impression of what IQ measures is capacity for intelligence and processing, not what actual performance level is. So lots of people out there could be compared to a QT Big Gulp with an inch of soda at the bottom. Lots of potential but nothing there. _________________ "Go then, there are other worlds than these."

Wow...this is the first time ive heard someone useing a "Big Gulp" as part of an analogy for something so deep...
(side note - I prefere the slushee over the big gulp.) _________________ "Clambering up and over the powdery slope, the goblin chanced upon a small furry thing. There they regarded each other: the goblin and his new pair of earmuffs." |
