I am very pro touching. physical contact makes perfect sense to me in a, ironically, intellectual way. and when I am interested in someone and have assimilated that person into my mental and emotional matrix the contact problem disappears. it's just strangers, my family, and most of my friends that I can't abide touching me. makes my skin crawl.

You read Heinlein too? That is where I got a lot of my ideas. I just wish I could make them work. Damn wiring from childhood.

It doesn't make my skin crawl, but I freeze. I wish I could hug strangers freely too (assuming it was an acceptable situation). It would be nice if the world was that comfortable.

::shrugs:: I just always associate the acceptance of touching with sex and therefore Heinlein. I read him a lot during my teenage years. Like, I would love for poly to work. Heck, even acceptance but I just can't do it right now. I keep failing at my anti-jealousy check. Yes, I did change that wording so that rolling a 1 would mean I was jealous.

Side note: I read Time Enough For Love first and I didn't read the last poem/song because I was so upset. Years later, I re-read the book and caught the actual end. Silly me.
