Hindsight, in conjunction with a constant re-evaluation of my actions, motives and beliefs has me convinced that although I may not be gaining momentum, I'm still sliding... My impulsive nature doesn't help much in the braking process.

The 2nd and 3rd panels I half agree with. He had the right idea, but they look much better in real life. If Monique was somewhere in those two, then it would be right on.
Of course, now that i'm thinking about it, that would destroy the metaphor.
