Fuck damn Psycho Pass is some awesome sauce.
Blast of Tempest - you were so good, then you started smoking crack, and now you're pants on head retarded and forgettable.
K - Fun, eye candy, and the story didn't quite go where I thought it would.
From the New World - Shits gotten super deep. Also, the crazy stylistic thing is pretty badass. The whole incorporation-of-bonobo-DNA-into-humans . . . kinda jarring, kinda creepy, but I see where they were going, it's a whole amoral-cold-scientific-reasoning sort of deal (I think).

I forgot some
BTOOOM still makes me want a video game version of it.
My Little Monster - Funniest series that isn't a gag comedy, it reminds me of Best Student Council, but funnier.
Ixion Saga DT is the funniest thing that is a gag comedy, it's by the director of Gintama. Also, lots of familiar voices.
Lastly, Magi is probably the best new shonen series to come out in forever.

Dystopian future, maybe 40-50 years or so. Over reliance on technology.
Everyone get's a "psycho pass", a measure of your mental stability. If it gets 'too cloudy', you're labeled a 'latent criminal' and imprisoned for life. If it gets a little cloudy you have to go to therapy and take meds. If it gets 'REALLY cloudy', cops can kill you on sight. It's kinda Minority Report meets 1984, only you're analyzed by computers, not psychics. The weapons the cops use can measure your psycho pass, and depending on how cloudy it is, the weapons go from stun mode to termination mode (which is VERY messy).
Oh and cops are inspectors and enforcers. Enforcers are all latent criminals, albeit with slightly more privileges. Inspectors go out and supervise enforcers,and can use force, either lethal or non lethal on them, if they deem necessary.
Also, it's from the same studio that did GiTS.

| Oh. Ahahaha. That sounds great. I read a short story (I'll edit this if I can remember it) like that a while ago and it seems this take on the concept is far more authoritarian. |

I keep seeing ads for Cardfight!! Vanguard on webcomic sites but it's a terrible cartoon. Do not recommend at all to anyone ever. It's like yugioh but somehow even less interesting.
uh... as far as card game anime go, I'll be watching the new season of Chihayafuru, I guess. And Psycho Pass is still going.
