Hehe, I just noticed... there's a hand in every one of the artist frames... Even the dali one. took me a moment to realise... hands on the clock! |
Yep, hands on the clock took me longest. And spotting it in amongst the "L'Oreal". And I suppose the message in the last panel - with the "ordinary" clouds - is that even when you don't see it, God's hand is in all of nature's artwork. Religious overtones, anybody? |

| Wait, you are saying a comic about God drawing in different styles has religious overtones? Sorry, I'm not seeing it. |

Yeah, I'm probably just reading too much into it. My train of thought went something like this:
1) the hand of God is in every frame;
2) well, every frame except the last one;
3) why wouldn't it be in the last one?
4) the last one is very pretty (as was mentioned at the beginning of this thread)
5) the last one is a 'natural' sky
6) God has been responsible for different configurations of clouds (in the form of artwork) in the previous panels
7) God is presumably responsible for the beauty of an ordinary sunset
8) therefore the hand of God is also in the last frame
9) blah etc
I'm not saying it was deliberate or intentional, it's just how it eventually occurred to me, especially considering the effort taken to put the hand in every frame, except the last. Gosh, I do love trying to follow thoughts to figure out how you got from A to B. Contrived? Possibly. Possible? Certainly :-) |

Blew my mind. Amazing, just amazing. _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.

This is the best images of L'Oreal ( a make up company) packaging I could find:

I didn't get the hands on the clock one. Probably because I never knew you people called those hands. _________________

I've done a quick search and all I can find on the matter is that 'clock hand' is indicative of a pointer or dial index, usage of which dates to 1575. _________________ ...

| In Snorriland, the "big phallus" points to 12 and the "little phallus" points to 6 when it is suppertime, |
