I am a fan of male birth control. It has already been said, but reducing the "I forgot my pills for three days, whoops I'm pregnant" is a good thing.
I thought the Pope was thinking about allowing some form of birth control or was I hallucinating... |

I'll wait a few years before considering this. Sorry but my soldiers aren't getting "vaccinated"
Just like the tamiflu I took that I ended up getting sick as hell afterwards.
I'll stick with condoms/girl on the pill for now. _________________

There is speculation that the church will look into possibly allowing the use of condoms in cases were one member of a married couple is HIV positive and the other is not. _________________ "Whatever afflicts thee, their asses I shall kick"

A while ago, maybe about three or four years, I went ahead and predicted that the Catholic Church would eventually declare on God's behalf that condoms really are okay after all. And I predict that it will be in my lifetime.
I'm trying to live at least to 120 just to be sure, but I already see signs showing that I'm totally on the right track to being correct. |

alot of the hardcore catholics i know are hardcore against repealing the birthcontrol ban. i think the evangelical (religious right) war on contraception is much more scary. at least if you're catholic you can just use it, confess and do your our fathers/hail marys. _________________ -HamletSr |

You know, My mom has been saying the same thing for years. Recently she confided in me that even though there is the mechanism for change (Papal Elections) she no longer thought it would happen (what with the Pope's potential successors being handpicked by the Pope himself). Femal Priests, Priests being allowed to marry, Contraception without condemnation these are things she once thought would surely change in her lifetime. It seems she no longer believes that after just over half a century.
I have to say that I agree with her. _________________ Scire aliquid laus est, pudor est non discere velle

Oh god, I hope mine isn't the low dose kind.
Hell, I'm getting rid of this shit. I never did like the whole idea of messing with my body's internal balance. |

Well, you can ask and they will tell you if it is the low dose style or not. I am a big fan of changing my hormones so I don't get pregnant. Condoms suck in a long term relationship and the only other thing I would consent to using is the spermicidal film (which was effective for me). Besides, if I get off birth control my cycle gets all kinds of wacky and I need sex more than I already do which is both a blessing and a curse.
The guy I am dating has an aunt that is a nun. She became a nun not only because that is what she wanted to do but because she wants to change the catholic church from the inside. She is one of the most loving and liberal christians I have ever met. Here's to hoping that change can happen. _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.
