I have tried dozens of images, using smaller sizes, lower quality, you name it. But whether or not it falls within the parameters of an acceptable avatar, it ALWAYS displays as a broken link. This happens whether it's uploaded from my computer or linked to another site.
WTF did I do wrong 18+ times? _________________

Edit... oh, wait... reading is good.
Linking didn't work? Hmmm... Haven't got a clue but that's what everyone else is having to do. Sorry. |

I'm glad you got it figured out.
I had the same issue when I first got here but the other nice people explained it to me in another thread and all is now good with the world.
(in my head, at least) |

I felt dumb for making a WHOLE NEW THREAD about something that had obviously been beaten to death already, but I read those threads and nothing helped. I really was quite frustrated when I just kept getting that broken link. ARRRGH.
So again, thank you guys. It's always nice to have a community understanding, friendly people. _________________

You are now, officially, on the "sacrifice small animals to" list. |

Well, I come from Fark.com (well, TotalFark.com, actually), so getting friendly, helpful advice is a completely alien concept to me. _________________
