West Virginia came into being when 25 counties in mountain Virginia responded to their state's secession from the Union by breaking off from the state and rejoining the Union. That the very generative act of the state was one of principled patriotism is something West Virginia is given far too little credit for.

I think the folk in those naked sushi woman parlors would -- if I've read my seedy Japanese pulps right -- faint if they ever learned they were eating sushi off an Ainu or Korean.
Then they would kill the manager of the naked sushi restauraunt.
With, like, a samurai sword that cannot be sheathed until it has tasted the blood of middle-level managers.
