| Like phuemarley I thought Champloo was better than Bebop. In Bebop I found it hard for me to care about what happened to the characters in it (besides edward). |

Argh, weighing in on an anime discussion...
Bebop is about so much more than the characters, though. |

Like what the music? I can see that I guess it did have enjoyable music. But that isnt enough for me to like an anime. Or is there more to the anime that im just forgetting? |

Maybe.
I think you need to rewatch some of the episodes, especially the last 9 or 10 of them.
Samurai Champloo... I tried to watch it but I just couldn't bring myself to care. |

I watched (not counting pokemon + dbz etc) only 1 anime thingy. It involved a girl and a boy. Doing some stuff im sure god/buddha/allah/themilkman never intended being son in a cartoon.

Hey, hey hey.
I may be a lurker, but it's only because I only post when I really have something to say.
And I daresay, in fact, I posted quite a few times when you, Mellowfish my friend, first came about, and everyone thought you were an over-evangelical closed minded black kid from Boondocks.
Anyway, the great thing about Bebop is that there really isn't a lot of character development. Instead, you see how the characters became who they allready were. Character development has allready taken place, and we get to see the end of their stories.
Plus, Bebop has Pierre LeFou. Which is, hands down, the most badass and at the same time f-ed up (tentacles excluded) cartoon ever.
Bebop is all about the past and how it becomes the present. Champloo, on the other hand, is all about the future, and change.
Which is kinda ironic, because Bebop takes place in the future, whereas Champloo takes place in the past. |

Leave it to hollowfish to say something "sucked" and then say that it wasn't great but that nothing was wrong with it and then not give any explanation for why he would use such a harsh term like "sucked" for a TV show with which there was nothing wrong. Whatta loss.
