Quite nice, but two criticisms:

First, I think that while the shift in colors sets off the final statement nicely, having the final panel quite so bright decreases its importance. I would recommend having the final panel be just a bit brighter than the third, which would also add to the 'mostly' aspect and lead to a bit more pondering.

Secondly, the rainbow-ing of 'colors' in the last panel is distracting, especially when we're supposed to be focusing on the actual colors of the panel around it. It also sort of fragments the developing thought by making a sharp distinction even between letters of the word. You could try having all of 'Nique's words in the last panel have a subtle hue, but I think it would be better to just leave those in black and white.

Okay, lessee...

Would that work better? I think it just might. Thanks for constructive criticism, that's what really makes the difference.

yeah, me too
the word "colors" represent the final panel, that's a nie touche, and i don't think they distract at all.
And the bright colors of the final panel actually, for me, make the final panel MORE important. If you look at something black and white and then at a something with colors, even though the picture itself is the same, you automatically look at the colored picture.

I also like the first one better. I think Secret was just nitpicking.

I like the B&W one better, because it leaves more to the imagination. But the colored ones are great, and if I chose one, it would be the first. Like bright colors. =)

Oh well... let's see:

People like bright colors, which are attractive. Therefore they also like the first version more.

But if they see past that color fascination, and the whole shebang, they might notice that the last panel is a bit too rich in color compared to other panels. It's overdone, not moderated. It just doesn't fit so well to the whole essence of the strip.

This is how I see it: More people like the first one, because it's more appealing. But that doesn't make it actually better. I prefer the second one, because it has been adjusted more sensitively.

I guess I'm a philistine, but the reason I like the first one is the bright lettering; the difference between the first and second versions doesn't strike me so much as that.

I didn't like the bright lettering. I thought it was too much.

I love the second one. Very Happy

dicola, i don't really agree with you what you think we think XP, because the one thing i really noticed was the letters. The colorfull leters were just fine, they showed what they mean: colors
after actually downloading both of them and watching them with acdsee i noticed the color difference in the actual panel, but i still like the first one better, not just because it looks better to me, but i think the last panel SHOULD be as much colorfull as possible(except for the outlines of course) I even think that there should be even more colors(a yellow sunshine, or more variations in moniques clothes)

Okey dokey, I decided to make a third version on some day. I will use that restrained color saturation of the second version, and rainbow-coloured letters, and also add some kind of subtle rainbow-effect to the whole panel, just to emphasize the colourfullness of the world a little bit more.
