They're thinking outside the box, but we can't see it because no thought bubbles fit there. Sad

I was kind of hoping for some more developmental stuff. I know a lot of people havent like the whole emo story stuff but i thought it was nice to see tat stretching his writing legs a bit. His artwork has improved in leaps and bounds lately but ive kind of felt like hes pushed his writing to the back burner. Still this is a pretty good stand alone strip that gave me a grin.

Slick in panel three is wonderful. I like Monique's text effect in that one too.

Wow, can't wait to see when they discover they have no depth. Or that they're B&W.

Or worse: when they see all this weirdos looking at them through a window...

Tat's depiction of postmodernism is way too inaccurate. In real life, all serious contemporary postmodernist works would be much more unnecessarily complicated and would have at least one feminist Marxism reference.

Ya know, something about how the female ego (Monique) is inherently suppressed because of the phallicentric domination of male pennis-envy socio-classes assertively dictating over how womyn need to act in this cruel male-chosen power driven society of death and destruction?

Thus, because of the male-hegemony, the female ego inheritally sways between the female ego and the necessity of adopting the male ego. Such an adoption can never be truly accepted, however. Understand where I'm going here? Monique isn't neurotic because she krazy, she's neurotic because it's the men's fault!

^^^

That's Postmodernism!

No, I recall a comic specifically about that before ... Squiggley breaking it. I'm too tired to go and source it.

wow, some really interesting poses on Niques side of the comic... I can never draw characters in different poses... always facing straight ahead!

Very humorous comic.
