Does anyone still have the first version, so we can compare?

(There's quite a bit of retconning going on, lately)

the 'new' comic looks the same as the one in the first post.
I'm not noticing a change here. what is it?

Reload the page / clear your cache.

BTW I love the second one better. Way less emo.

I like the second one a lot better. The dialogue is a lot smoother.

The second one is more in character for the poet strips but I like the first one waaaaay better. Slick has shown that he is hurting and it is nice to see it show up again. I mean, bad for slick but it makes him a more interesting character.

However, the comic is probably easier to maintain if Slick is still just putting up a front.

second version is definitely more true to slick as he shows himself to the world - the first gives away a little more than he is usually willing to show.

and anyone want to bet squig should _really_ be scared now?

I've been having this feeling, and the change in the posty kind of confirms it to me... Like Tat is trying to finish Sinfest, slowly working to an end. Things are now more in the open: no more inuendos of love, no more cat/mouse chasing. Declarations, resolutions, that sort of thing.

The first version of the comic was waaay more direct in that sense. The constant conflict of Sinfest is coming to an end, and that's why Slick is different, no so idealistic (in the possibility of love) but more resigned, on his freakin' knees. Like going to a sad ending... or the inverse, a Deux Ex Machina (quite probable in Sinfest, being God a character and all) that will change the situation, making 'Nique heart to change.

sadly, every story needs an end. Sooner or later.

I hope I'm terribly wrong, and that, sometime in the future, I will be showing my grandkids how Squig smoked his brains out.

I bet more like Sinfest is what Tat uses to write down his daily feelings/emotions/moods/whatever, and I really doubt he's stopping that healthy tradition soon.

They both work, but the second is more Slick than the first.

I hate guys like Squigg who feel the need to share what is obvious.

It totally ruins a guys game.

I like the first much better, but the second is probably more consistent...

I think these two go great together. First one is what Slick would want to say, but he's too scared to do that, so he put's up a front, which is the second comic. If you see it like that, the changing of comics could be done intentionally, Tat put up the second comic as a front to hide Slick's feelings, just as Slick does himself.

The first version is actually far more romantic, and in my opinion more poetic.
