Plus, daily comics almost always have four panels...

Which is not true. There is plenty of evil where money has no play. There are different types of evil with different catalysts or "roots".

One of the many things that the authors of the bible got dead wrong.

It is something of a generalization but in reality money isn't what the saying is talking about, love of money, love of the inanimate (like money) or intangible (like power) as opposed to your fellow man is the root of a great deal of the evil in this world.

Probably not all of it, but close.

aw, crap. i wasn't trying to be all philosophical. love of "money"? as in monique?? eh, people???

oh, well. that's what i get for trying to be clever.

Edit: I guess "love of monique = root of all evil" would've done a better job.

I realize I'm not very bright, but how do you get Monique from money?

It was a pun (or, play on words), like in your signature, when you spell the state "Delaware" as "Dela-where?". That is humorous because the word "where" sounds like the latter half of the state "Delaware". A pun (or, play on words) is when a person wishes to make others laugh by facetiously subsituting something humorous for something not-humorous, that sounds the same, thus, "Dela-where?" is a pun (or, play on words).

This pun (or, play on words) is funny because the word "where" is humorous. Just as the pun (or, play on words) where (ha! ha! ha!) you substitute the word "money" for "Monique", because the word "money" is humorous.

where, exactly, in the bible does it say that money is the root of all evil?
or even imply it?

Yeah, you're right. I guess I got too caught up in the angel sex, Snoopy-tits, and dick-terrorist jokes to notice. Tunnel vision and all that. My bad.

And yes, my own dick joke was bad. I tossed it off in ten seconds.

let's see.
Smartbombs comic:
Smartbomb wrote:

Panel 1: Little E is trampling a flower bed
Panel 2: Monique walks by, doing something sexy (arms up, running hands through her hair or something), E takes notice
Panel 3: E looks down at own crotch: "...the Hell?"

Tatsuya's Comic:

see, the difference is that Tatsuya's is actually funny
and a social commentary, with political references, etc. etc. etc. blah blah blah rolling eyes

I dunno, I think its just that Lil' E is a little kid. That's just... creepy.

Who knows? I shouldn't assume I know a damn thing about Tat. My bad.

You know, if you look at Slick, he doesn't seem a whole lot older, despite what the old cast page used to say (and hey, Seymour seemed interested, and not in a theological way, in that topless beauty contest, and he's ostensibly the same age as Little E). Besides, my crappy dick joke was just playing on Sinfest's long tradition of dick jokes.

And yes, I'm not a professional webcomic artist and/or humorist who does this every day. My apologies.

And while I'm putting up a futile effort to defend my shitty joke, the political commentary in that strip isn't exactly a brilliant exercise in comedic subtlety. I doubt Tat has that hard a time trying to work in references to Bush and the PATRIOT Act and what-have-you.

Too bad the old Sinfest character page is gone. It was Tat who gave her that nickname.

I'm sure you'd like some butt love on all your jokes, but sorry. I'm just not wired that way. You can try Google, though.
