What the fuck is wrong with sony. |
I have no Idea. I was under the impression that the game was selling pretty darn well on its own.
Sony's obsession with off the wall marketing, and bragging about the gruesomeness of the game, might actually scare away potential buyers.
it's a strange day indeed, when I wholeheartedly agree with the animal rights activists. _________________ Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS" |

that's not an Onion link, is it.
that's so weird it seems it has to be a hoax. but, even as a sony engineered hoax for buzz-value, it's so weird it seems it has to be a hoax.
...maybe if the game were to be called 'saturnalia backlash' or somesuch...no, no, still too too |

Goat thing's not as bad as purported, but still pretty stupid.

their advertisement agency would have you believe otherwise.
I think it was janurary's egm that had an interview with whatever american spin master from sony, all I knew was that the entire interview seemed insincere and it actually pissed me off. The article was nothing but spins to appease the investors, but in a magazine like EGM, you'd think they would try to apeal to the gamers more...
on the other hand, that article made microsoft's (moore?) spin look more genuine...
I don't know, guys, when your crap PR is making microsoft look good, it's time to reevaluate. |

Sorry for the necro but I thought this was rather entertaining:
| The Feed wrote: | The Sony corporation posted its financial results for the fiscal year and fourth quarter and the results were, well, not that rosy: The games division alone lost two billion dollars.
According to Sony's financial report, "This deterioration was primarily the result of loss arising from the sale of PS3s at strategic price points lower than its production cost during the introductory period, as well as the recording of other charges in association with preparation for the launch of the PS3 platform."
This was not unexpected for Sony, as the each PlayStation 3 sold losses money for the company that they plan to make up later.
Next year, Sony expects its game division to post better results, but still lose money.
"An increase in sales is anticipated as a result of the full-scale expansion of the PS3 business in Japan, the US, and Europe," Sony said in its quarterly report. "In addition, a significant reduction in operating loss is expected due to rapid reductions in hardware production costs and an enhanced lineup of software titles in the PS3 business."
Remember, the race goes not to the swift, but to he who can endure. Or so they say. |
