I wanna add to this: It's just a damn good game period. If you were never an xcom junkie back in the day, you get to experience the magic now. |

Zynga's falling on hard times, many tears went unshed.
| Quote: | | Zynga went public to much fanfare in December at $10 a share but has since lost over three-quarters of its market value. It has been hit by delays in its game pipeline as older titles fade, while it has struggled to come up with new hits for mobile devices. |

A free version of mine sweeper is available for Mac and iOS. I've let my skills go so much, I am ashamed. _________________

Well, I can see how they'd have that problem. |

| Their latest planned hit, "Cantankerous Avians" was just delayed too long. |

Maybe they should try to steal from their own games. _________________

X-Com on Classic / Ironman difficulty is delightfully brutal. The first few missions push the "delightful" part though, having an entire squad disintegrate due to one unlucky hit makes me a saaaaaad panda. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. After several attempts, I've come to the conclusion that I'm just not lucky enough to do classic difficulty and iron man at the same time. All it takes is one TPK at the wrong time to effectively end the game, and when a TPK can stem from one lucky crit on someone behind full cover... urgh.
I think I'll have to do ironman on normal. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. True and abiding cynicism is simply a form of cowardice. |

Despite both bring grid-based tactical RPGs, you really can't play XCOM the same way you play, say, Disgaea, huh?
Bought it over the weekend, along with Skylanders: Giants for my wife. We both spent a lotmore time swearing than normal - her at that plane-flying section, me at that "the entire game" section. It's great though, I love it. _________________ “Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation”

In unrelated news, Malphite and Caitlyn are a hell of a lane combo. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. True and abiding cynicism is simply a form of cowardice. |

Just came back from taking the kids to go see Wreck it Ralph. IT was all around awesome, if not a little hokey at times. Also, Vanellope von Schweetz FTW, Silverman did an awesome job with her. _________________
