I don't know how to feel about upcoming MMOs like WildStar, TESO etc. I like MMOs because I like playing together, showing off our characters etc. But those communities have some really toxic people in them that I desperately want to avoid. Not to mention MMOs never fulfill my RPG needs like Dragon Age and other single player RPGs can. I want games to come out with multiplayer RPGs, Skyrim for 2-4 people or something, so that I can still play together with people I like but the choices we make affect the world properly (and not just temporarily).

Am I asking for too much?

SW:TOR was almost like this when travelling with a group. I had that one friend that would always choose the "be a dick" option. So our conversation would go from happy to tragic in 3 seconds. It only really had effects on whatever the dungeons in that game were called.

Sounds pretty fun, maybe I should try it out. It's F2P I heard.

It was... OK.

The story line for each class was the best part of the game.

ToR is basically dying, they jerked the pvpers around for 2 years and so most of the people who would have been considered "high end" pvpers moved on to other games. Since generally those people have a certain degree of overlap with the high end raiding guilds PVE began to suffer and now its just....terrible as an mmo.

It's a pretty great single player kotor 3 though. F2P status is pretty horrendous. Basically they deny you a lot of quality of play improvements until you sub.

The agent storyline was pretty great.

In all fairness, Consular was pretty good too.

Yeah, all of em were pretty fun, varying degrees of epic but fun. Huttball was amazing as a pvp map, I absolutely loved it. Class storyline and Huttball maps, the two things they got right and none of em have seen squat for additions since launch.

There is a bit of optimism on the galactic starfighter front, its looking complex enough that you could maybe get away with doing the class storylines and then galactic starfighter as your elder game content.

FFXIV is on sale, 12.49 euros for the game and 1 free month. I'm very tempted to buy it.

edit: bought it. Worst that can happen is I don't like it after 1 month and will still be cheaper than going to the movies.

Bought Fez on sale for $2.50 for my son . . . only to discover my Mac is the only machine in the house capable of playing it Sad
