You're acting like you can't spend hundreds of hours on a Sid Meier's game Wink

I have some kind of extended release ADD. If something takes more than between a week to a month to complete I lose interest and start something else.

Writing or defending? Because in my experience these things take a little bit of time to get right.

Writing, which will take a while-it's just also gonna be adistraction. Thankfully, I don't think my laptop can run it.

Is there a way to trick old games into thinking they're full screen when they aren't?

Or some other semi-plausible solution to the fact that none of the older games anticipated the fact that I use a 1360x768 TV as a computer screen? Wonky resolution bugs the crap out of me.

Look around for a fan-made hi-res patch?
See if your TV can upscale the image?

The problem isn't really the low resolution. It's that all the low res options are for squarish screens and my TV is not even a little square. The distortion bugs me, not the pixels.

(My tv automatically matches whatever resolution the game picks already.)

Edit: Oooh this will probably work. Good idea, thanks! I still wish there was a less game specific solution since this problem just keeps happening, but oh well.

Death vigil update. Even Mario Kart can't boost Nintendo back to profitability. Also, in North America they only shipped 5 new games over a 3 month period.

Despite all the WiiU doom and gloom all up in here I got to play one recently and had so much fun I ended up buying one.

I'm celebrating tonight with ramen.

Mario Kart 8 is super worth it.
