Hurf durf
Apparently Kojima is the only one left that they can pay off enough to stick with such a shitty sales base!

Still not counting Sony out.
I like what I've heard about how they're handling online, and Little Big Planet looks like it could be a herald of awesome things to come.
Yeah the Wii is more fun to play and the 360 has an insane list of games (Lost Planet = fapfapfapskeet) but the day Sony is officially and utterly fucked in the console wars is the day Capcom announces Street Fighter IV. |

Lost Planet sucked giant donkey balls.
Just gonna throw that one out there. _________________ "By 3 p.m. I've discounted suicide in favor of killing everyone else in the world instead."

Death Vigil is a bit extreme, but yeah, no more dominance for Sony. _________________ Scire aliquid laus est, pudor est non discere velle

| Death Vigiil for the PS3, maybe. Sony has way too many resources to throw at their problems to call it quits for them this early. |

I think I believe you, but I'm pretty unimaginitive, and I don't know how far you can go by throwing money at the console to save it from a less-than-ideal atrophy of Sony's former market share.
Sure, you can hurl buckets of money at producers to try to keep heavy titles exclusive to your platform, but can this really impact the PS3 when it is posting Dreamcast-esque numbers? |

If anyone at Sony has a brain, they'll drop the price of the 60 gig PS3 to $479 or $499 when the HDMI 360 launches.
They'll also, you know, use a non-shitty ad campaign. |

Well, the PS3 is fucked. Didn't I hear a rumor that the PS4 is already being worked on and it has some significant progress? 2010 or 2012 is what I am hearing from that.
Sony is not down and out. Hopefully they can drag their ass through this and make something good that doesn't have the imput of management saying "We will set the trend! Nevermind that it isn't accepted technology! We are going to include it because we are awesome! Don't talk back to me!" _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.

or no ads at all! after ps2 launched, there were very few ads for it (that I can remember).
but really, it's just way to expensive. how many parents want to blow $600 + games in one shot, for another TV game? not as many as were willing to give $300(the original price for PS2) _________________ Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS" |

That news made my day, I just find it funny when a company gets so arrogant that they think their fan base will pay anything for anything (no matter how shitty).
I doubt a PS3 price drop of any real substance is coming soon, Sony is already losing money selling at $600 and if you drop the price further it just cuts into what little money they have been making on the software end of things.
I think Gabe Newell had it right, they shoulda just come out and said "we fucked up" and scrapped PS3 until they could make a GOOD product.
Sony isn't out quite out of the game yet but the gap between them, Microsoft, and Nintendo just got a bit bigger. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. True and abiding cynicism is simply a form of cowardice. |

also interesting:
the PS3's blu-ray drive alone is bigger than the PS2 slim model
http://content.techrepublic.com.com/2346-10877_11-53468-19.html
that slim PS2 was probabally one of the most solid consoles, all around. _________________ Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS" |
