So you say you want to have a chat with THE Commander Shepard (aka Mark Meer)? Then how about helping http://gamersforsandyhook.org reach their goal of donating $6000 to the Sandy Hook Parent Teacher Association. A kid from my school was one of the founders of this drive. _________________

So Bioshock is pretty awesome and also I'm pretty excited by the concept of enjoying a FPS at all because once this gets old maybe I'll switch back over to Mass Effect 2 and not die horribly every three minutes!
(But yeah if you think I ever pass off playing as a girl you are sadly mistaken. My biggest gripe about Bioshock is the dudely grunts the main character makes because I keep thinking something creepy is after me. I mean at times when something creepy -isn't- after me.) _________________ Samsally the Gray |

Ok, ya got me, but STILL, stuff like this is kinda heart warming.
Also, there's "the other" Commander Shepard (limit 2000):

It starts with "The animation inspired by . . ." aka Mass Effect: Paragon Lost
http://www.funimation.com/mass-effect/videos, DVD's came out Dec 28, the movie played in a WHOPPING 6 theaters stateside.
Freddie Prince Jr. is voicing the protagonist so. . . um . . . yeah . . . it looks pretty, amirite? _________________

Ok, SO I'm betting that within 48 hours they will have met their goal, within another 48 hours they'll have more than doubled that. _________________

Steam and GOG.com have gotten so much of my money this holiday season it is almost obscene. But on the bright side, I should be set for gaming for a year (or two or three).
Also I really like this trend in indie games of making excellent midi game music. Just played VVVVVV today and the music is a real blast from the 90s. It's enough to make me feel like an awkward spotty virgin again. _________________ Who needs a signature? |

I've been resisting posting about that, but hrrnnng I want one! Streaming games from my office to my couch (or toilet)? Yes... Only question is if the input lag is acceptably low, and how much it will cost. _________________ “Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation”

So I signed up for the beta for Elder Scrolls online on a whim and it got to the part where they wanted me to write down why I thought I should be a beta for them and I couldn't think of anything better than "Because I want to." so I just put in the speech Beetlejuice gives when his qualifications are put into question.
"Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT... NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY... NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK? You think I'm qualified?"
I don't really expect to get in. _________________ Samsally the Gray |
