Dear Sam (and other MMORPG players)
What is the best "free to play" mmorpg out there, my wife would like to know. Also, what plays decently on an "old PC" (2.0 gHz Turion processor, 2 gigs of ram, Vista).

It's been a pretty good eleven years 
We've played MMORPG's together before, we're just broke now so she wants to find a cheaper alternative.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is fun. (And by fun I mean addicting as hell)
I just read up on it a little and apparently it's possible to make the vast majority of your encounters extra boring by accidentally locking areas to low levels. After reading through how to avoid this it turns out my normal methods of getting distracted by shinies and saving dungeons for whenever i actually have a quest there is perfect for this game.

That's yet another of the many games I have to play through. Still haven't done more than the intro to a ton of games (e.g. Bastion, Limbo, mark of the ninja, the list goes on and on.)
I have however finally cranked up Spacechem (from one of the various humble bundles). I had no idea this game would be so compelling. it combines two of my high school loves: science fiction and stoichiometry!

It's very high on my list, I enjoyed it when I was playing. Just then Christmas and work and overtime and family happened, and I feel like I'd want to start again to really appreciate it.
Wrt to the thread title, I haven't played DayZ in months now. At this point i may as well wait for the standalone.

I really hope they fix all the bloody bugs when they release the standalone. Last time I played I was on a week-old character when stray shed door broke every bone in my body and left me bleeding, crippled and unconscious.
