I, for one, would love to see an HD Homeworld. Keep the original voice-acting, soundtrack, plot, mechanics, etc. Just update the visuals to be closer to modern times. Don't they dare touch anything else.

But, of course, the cynic in me thinks they would fuck even this up.

You know a mob of angry fanboys (myself included) would freak the fuck out if they did a remake and didn't keep the original soundtrack.

I've been playing Kerbal Space Program pretty much exclusively during my time off for the past two weeks. It just scratches so many nerdly itches at once. Designing a rocket... Watching your first rocket explode on the launch pad... And the second one... The third one spiralling off the pad and spraying machinery and Kerbalnauts everywhere... Finally having something that lifts off!... Only to start yawing uncontrollably at 1500 feet before smashing into the ground... It's addicting!

Of course, now I've successfully gotten satellites in orbit around other planets, and landed a Kerbal on the Moon! ... On the third try. The first two smashed into the moon (and an earlier attempt shot one deep into space, never to be seen again...)

Anyways, play it.

Oh, a video game thread?

I've just picked up XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Shootmania Storm recently.

Though I've never played the original X-COM games, I'm really liking this one. You really do get attached to your soldiers - at least at first, or when you rename them - so you do kinda feel bad when your assault gets zombified. Hard as hell, too. I started playing on Normal Ironmode, because not having the option to reload a failed mission makes the tension skyrocket. But after failing this horribly for about 9 games, I realized I was terribad at this tactics shit. So I've turned off Ironmode for now.

Shootmania Storm is a bare-bones multiplayer arena FPS, similar Quake and Unreal Tournament. It was built with the intention of becoming an E-Sport, so everything is very well balanced. It has a heavy emphasis on making your own maps, with a pretty intuitive map creator. Pretty damn fun, it has pretty much replaced Quake Live for me.

I was rather intrigued by Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon...

Then it got to the in-game footage and I lost all interest.

Also: League of Legends just added an ARAM (all random, all mid) map and queue system. Is good fun.

This is how I feel about Rune Factory 4, the new Animal Crossing, and Remember Me.

And how I feel about Starbound.

And possibly Shadowrun Returns.

20-30 minutes usually. Had a fairly epic one go 40 (with 42-43 in kills). And you don't get the usual shittiness of the PvP community because no one has time to type.

Apparently my first few games were flukes, average is actually about 15-20 minutes.

Also: Twisted Fate is OP.

Shit. Why do so many point and click games have so much good plots... when I'd rather play an RPG. xD

UGH I'm still writhing because I want the stupid games that haven't come out yet.

Also to what point and click games are you referring? I noticed some of the games you mentioned seem to be only for PS3, which is sadface for me because I'm definitely not getting a new console anytime soon.
