Heh, this is my friend's experience with calling charter to get his internet service reconnected. Prior to this conversation, he had already spent around 40 minutes calling Charter but he kept getting transferred and no one would really help him...haha
Quote: | Finally, i just stopped with the whole "telling them about the situation" thing:
them: "hello, charter"
dyre: "look you guy's didn't come out to my place monday to hook up the internet, what's going on?"
them: "it's seems that your account has been closed because of $34 outstanding."
dyre: "ok, fine.. i'll pay it. what exactly is it for though?"
them: "the $34 is a charge for unreturned property. the modem."
dyre: "O_o.. but if you're coming out to reconnect the internet, i'm still going to need it. it's not unreturned."
them: "you still have the modem, sir. so you haven't returned it yet."
dyre: "whatever.. so i can return it to wave the $34, correct?"
them: "yes you can, but if we're reconnecting your internet service, you'll still need that modem."
dyre: "what the.. then i'm paying you $34 for something i already have and will need to be unreturned. i'm paying $34 for nothing."
them: "just a moment...."
... on hold once again.
them: "ok sir, upon reconnecting the $34 will be credited to your account."
jesus.. what does it take to get a straight answer out of these people. |

Actually, some things are just too stupid to laugh at. This is one of them. _________________ A government's principal occupation lies in curtailing and eliminating the natural freedoms of its citizens and then flimflamming them into paying for the service. ....Thorax |

Customer approaches me in the wine section carrying a small case of Sauvignon blanc with 4 bottles inside, said box has a little dent on the front but the bottles are fine.
Customer: is this wine reduced because it's damaged
John: CHUCKLE
