Why in the hell would anyone think that being attracted to a drawn (or painted or photographed) picture of an attractive woman is wrong? If you think that is wrong, you need to check yourself. If you are worried about what other people think of your feelings, you need to check yourself.

I think there's a difference between recognizing that a character is drawn to be attractive and being attracted to a cartoon.

I think there's a difference between recognizing that a character is drawn to be attractive and being attracted to a cartoon.

On the other hand, fine art is suffused with erotic imagery. If someone claimed to be attracted to the subject depicted in The Birth of Venus, this wouldn't seem so unusual. And yet we generally squirm a bit at the thought of being attracted to a drawn or computer-rendered subject. Perhaps it has something to do with the stigmas still attached to comics and video games: obviously, you'd have to be the biggest geek in the whole world to find a video game character attractive! Of course, figures like Lara Croft and that DOA pap haven't done a lot to allay this image.
