I dunno. It's not. It's just that .. once you've heard that live.

SPEEK NOW, OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE
WHATEVER VOICES IN MY HEAD
LET THEM SPEEK THEIR MIND
AT LEAST SOMEONE WILL HEAR THEM
I'VE AWAKENED GHOSTLY
DOES IT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS
DEAR LONELY STAR, GRANT ME A WISH
WHY TAKE FOR GRANITE
OUR DEAR CONCIOUS
ARREST MY SOUL
FOR I AM NAUTIOUS
-IM FILLED WITH EMPTINESS
I CANT MAKE SENSE OF THIS
(CHORUS)
MY WORDS WILL BE SPOKEN ETERNALLY
FOREVER UNTILL MY EARS BLEED |
Once you have stood and physically WATCHED those people who were PLAYING THAT right in FRONT OF YOU and felt that utter, proximal shame.
You can never be hurt again.
Apparently, I see that they've broken up. Shit, I can lord that over people for the rest of all time. "I saw Secon-Hand Religion live, you know. Yeah, right before they broke up in '06"
but anyway guys were we not talking about retro television childhoods?? |

And yet...
SAM, YOU'RE SO RIGHT, I FEEL LIKE I'M CROTCHETY OMG I REMEMBER WHEN DOWNLOADING A PICTURE ON THE INTAHWEBZ TOOK 17 MILLION YEARS AND THERE WAS NO FLASH ANIMATIONS OR VIDEO OF ANY KIND, AND PEOPLE BRAGGED ABOUT HAVING A 56K MODEM *sob*
*breaks down in old woman's tears*
*runs off* |
*pats bun-bun on the shoulder*
I'm 23. The pain is even more acute from my side of things.
...
Which is why a couple of months ago I indulged my inner child and bought the first three seasons of TMNT the cartoon on DVD, as well as the first season of DuckTales. ^___^ I also own both of the Care Bears movies on vhs, bought only a couple of years ago.

I showed my brother this thread.
He stopped responding, suddenly. He just ... sort of seized up.
I was all like "hello? helllloooo"
He then just started going " ... rinkadink .. I love you."
"What?"
"It's something something something but it's got I love you in it. It makes NO SENSE but it has 'i love you' in it. HELP ME."
"Wwww..."
"THINK. Rinky dink? Suh .. err ... wing, wink .."
a moment of silence. Then we both just jump up and start going
"Skinnamarink-a-dink-ee-dink, Skinnamarink-ee-doo, I loooove youuuuuuuu"

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego was a bit after me, but I do remember that show. I remember the guys who used to sing acapella (sp?).

Funny sidenote, the "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego" PBS game show theme song is "the" most well known theme song worldwide. |

They sang in the Zappa's Universe concerts along with the Persuasions. Good video. _________________ There are 4 boxes to use in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo. Use in that order. Starting now. |
