I remember these things. "Retro?" What the fuck are you talking about, retro? That was the fucking nineties, man. That was just, like, straight fucking yesterday. I remember these. Like with the eighties and .. A-Ha. And fucking Colecovision .. and .. Retro, my childhood is retro?
It was yesterday.
... it was yesterday
burning bright, man, we was kids, stars high in the sky. we were invincible. we had the ninja turtles
♪♫Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.♫♪

Do you see this? I know what this is.
I know what this is.
Wow, this is what old people do, right? They wake up one morning and they realize that their childhood took place in another world.
Yauup yer see, they wus turtles, and they was ninjas and mutants and young kids, see, all four, and they had all manner of weapons and they fought a guy named slicer, or .. shredder, was it? Oh I know it seems strange to all you but once upon a time all the kids on the block we used to run around pretending we was turtles with swords, too! |

It wasn't the game show, it was a Fox saturday cartoon with two sibblings who had disparate skills and attitudes and haircolors and a disembodied Egon head as the Chief.

I used to love Kids Inc.! Wow, trip down memory lane here.
321 Contact!!!
Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego was a bit after me, but I do remember that show. I remember the guys who used to sing acapella (sp?).
Beetlejuice was my favorite cartoon. =(
I remember as a kid, singing along to the Duck Tales song as "DUCK BUTTS WOOO OOOO". Haha.
I grew up on the Smurfs and Alvin and the Chipmunks. _________________ My blog is back bitches!! Check it out and comment: http://www.quixoticroads.com

I guess a technical definition of 'mindfuck' would, indeed, have to encompass the act of listening to rap that's so terrible that it's quite like a titanium penis being wrenched violently through your parietal lobe.
Well played. |

I had something else to say about Battle of the Planets but I think I'll just collapse in tears instead. _________________ There are 4 boxes to use in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo. Use in that order. Starting now. |

Here is a retro sam post to describe how Mikey Ray Rap cannot possibly hurt me.
| Quote: | My brother, a drummer, was almost stealth-recruited for a musical lineup. They'd apparently expected his band to be part of their 'freak fest 06' on account of some other arrangement they were in.
When he found out about it, he contacted them and said "Hi, uh .. who are you?" Since there hadn't been any actual contact between the two bands. Eventually while talking to them, he figured he didn't want to be a part of whatever had been assumed they were going to participate in.
They got all angry at him, and he was so utterly perplexed that he started hunting down their band name to find out what the hell was going on.
Well, he found them. And he just had to show me. The entire time, I was going "And you're sure this isn't a joke?"
http://www.myspace.com/seconhandreligion
Apparently as we speak, they are all angry at him for being a 'music elitist' who 'doesn't want to be part o' their scene.' I don't know. It's all mysterious to me, but they apparently were looking to generate some conflict over it.
Right now I am contemplating attendance. If it's free, I'll go watch five minutes of it. You know, just to say I was there. |
I attended. |
