Yeah, he appears to be a bit of a prick, his commentary on XKCD was just ridiculous. |
well, he did point out he was critiquing only the art style. and, admittedly, XKCD is not great for it's visual style, but for it's text.

Maybe he's just jealous that there are people out there with a webcomic who manages to be good, and funny, without all that snazzy art.

Because he has opinions and wants to share them? I don't know, what is the point of commenting on anything? Visuals are the most important element of the medium and a completely valid target for criticism. |

Because he had recently said that the artistic influence in webcomics was dim, and this critique was an attempt to see if that statement was justified. |

Yup. It updates Tue and Thurs, mostly. The artist also works on Punch an' Pie (MWF consistently) along with the writer from Queen of Wands.

It has gotten away from the neat drama. It is back to the normal drama but I keep waiting for something cool to happen again.

| I didn't see the lesnick commentary yet. What he says is exactly 100% spot on because he set out from the beginning with the intent to review the visual merits of select webcomics. |
