Anyone else read Josh Lesnick's web comic critique?

I read parts of that. I now hate Josh Lesnick

Yeah, he appears to be a bit of a prick, his commentary on XKCD was just ridiculous.

well, he did point out he was critiquing only the art style. and, admittedly, XKCD is not great for it's visual style, but for it's text.

Edit: Er, yeah, that ^

I actually think all his comments were spot on, and gained a lot of respect for Lesnick after reading that.

Sure. But why the fuck is he only commenting on the art? What's the point of that?

Tooooo... compensate for his lack his creativity?

Maybe he's just jealous that there are people out there with a webcomic who manages to be good, and funny, without all that snazzy art.

And yes, I just used the word "snazzy".

Because he has opinions and wants to share them? I don't know, what is the point of commenting on anything? Visuals are the most important element of the medium and a completely valid target for criticism.

Try not using an unsubstantiated opinion when defending something.

Because he had recently said that the artistic influence in webcomics was dim, and this critique was an attempt to see if that statement was justified.

lesnick occasionally goes through nervous breakdowns from his obsession over his dwindling readership, whenever that happens he occasionally goes berserk.

I still like him though.

Yup. It updates Tue and Thurs, mostly. The artist also works on Punch an' Pie (MWF consistently) along with the writer from Queen of Wands.

It has gotten away from the neat drama. It is back to the normal drama but I keep waiting for something cool to happen again.

I didn't see the lesnick commentary yet. What he says is exactly 100% spot on because he set out from the beginning with the intent to review the visual merits of select webcomics.
