I didn't find this one nearly as impressive as yesterday's, although the last panel is interesting.

Li'l Evil's problem: he wants to destroy God, and yet, he believes in God, thereby giving God power ...

The blind watchmaker? That is (another) reference I do not understand

Edit: Bah, google had the answer. Search first, ask later! Smile

Edit2: Although it is more fuel to the fire if you likes to argue that Tat reads the forums (ofcourse he does)

I will be absolutely certain that Tat reads the forums the day we see a drawing of Benny acting out a flaming via interpretive dance. Before then, all bets are off!
You hear me Tat? DRAW IT!!!

Or ignore me, that's fine too.

While I think it would be be foolish to assume that Tat wouldn't occasionally read the forum for his own webcomic, I don't think that a Richard Dawkins reference in a story arc such as this is really any sort of evidence (regardless of whether or not he was mentioned in previous threads).

Here is what this strip is all about. Little Evil represents the atheists who try to convince others that god does not exist, and Seymore represents the churchies who try to convince people that God does exist.

Just like in real life, neither of them listen to the other, and simply babble on about their own beliefs. The joke is that both the Atheist and the churchie use books that they already believe in to try and convince their respective non-believers in their cause. Then, just as in real life, they wonder why they are not successful in convincing the non-believer.

Quite a good strip today.

I really don't like this series for some reason... I mean, there's nothing really wrong with it... I dunno..... I dunno.....

I think I just hate both of these characters.

*shrug* I initially felt like using an example to prove the point of Tat's comic today, by baiting a churchie with the above statement. they would counter with some dogma they blindly accepted, trying to convince me that god does exist.

point being: it is very difficult to impossible to convince someone of something they inherently do not believe in, by using believes in what the non-believe rejects (whether that is an atheist OR a churchie.. it works both ways).

I deleted my comment because I decided there was no point in going through this example / exercise though because I have things I want to do rather than spent more time on the interweb.

fair enough. I think they're great. some subtle intelligent points are worked into the joke, and I still get my LoLZ! It's good stuff.
