yes

anyhow, hasn't crimey had a few dates in the past? so he should have some knowledge of the subject...

well, clearly criminey's dates don't necessarily involve "intimate interpersonal contact". he probably just buys them dinner, or something.

I'm just wondering how someone so interested in knowledge can be so oblivious to the world in general

'Cause, as he himself said, Criminy is not interested in knowledge, but in safety. If would really be interested in knowledge, you'd be like Indiana freakin' Jones, killing Nazis to get the Ark of Covenant, or like Stephen Hawkins or something.

Zebras -- I'm just absolutely stunned by Nazi's and Stephen Hawkings in the same sentence. But I'll ponder the Indian Jones ... ah Harrison Ford, there's some eyes for ya!

Does it make me greedy that I need both intimate interpersonal contact and knowledge to feel really safe?

Lately I've been getting that sort of vibration from the universe as well.

You're not my type, tho.

I don't usually complain about this kind of thing to anyone, but the new comic is probably about to come up and no one will read this, so what the hell...

I have wanted to get a girlfriend too, but I just can't deal with American women anymore. The ones that are cute and at least remotely smart will not give you a serious try if they don't feel that they can squish money out of you.

Actually, it is not as bad as I am making it sound; but having met women of many nationalities, American women do seem a lot greedier and materialistic at the moment of choosing a mate by comparison. (To let things clear, I am talking about a serious relationship here, not something that you know it is going to end in less than three months.)

Haha. Normally I wouldn't post here but a lot of Australian women give me the shits because they are all vacuous, inspipid princesses and the other half make TV's look feminine. Only joking. It is just so hard to find a pretty witty princess nowadays. I had an epiphany the other day.... maybe I should stop looking for her in dodgy bars. BTW ladies I want a green card. Willing to trade Australian and UK residency, I come with a dog and live in heaven on earth. Future brides please note you will be moving to a major wine production area and will be forced to become an alcoholic by the sheer volume of yummy wine you will drink daily. Expect long walks through the forest and along the beaches. 5 star restaurants abound and the people are friendly if not permanently pissed. No christians need apply. PM me for further details about my physical deformaties and mental illnesses.
