Spent all day on 60-70% slope. Got cliffed out four times. But hey, at least the smoke is good for lighting effects.

Pretty much. It's never a good thing when you're trying to pick the most efficient path only to discover that that path goes from "fucking steep" to "fucking concave" a couple times. Even more irritating when running a transect.

Also, thanks folks. Mostly a matter of luck on my end, the sun hit the trees and smoke just right, and I just happened to be walking by.
