I've about given up on trying to eat healthy myself. Working as a manager in the fast food industry, in a high-volume store with 10-hour straight shifts (no breaks -- hurrah for Missouri's lack of labor laws), it's virtually impossible to not just snag a burger and wolf it down in the five minutes between rushes. Unless, that is, anyone has any ideas for ready-to-eat healthy stuff-on-a-stick?

P.S. Anything that requires silverware is out of the question, as I normally just don't have enough time to eat something unless I can pick it up, eat one bite, and come back to it later.

Is there any place you can store food? Like a locker or something? My mother is a hiker, so she has to eat food on her feet all the time. She usually likes to eat apples or oranges or plums, and then peanuts or cashew nuts or almonds. The former are good for vitamin C, and the latter have lots of protein. Does the restaurant you work for have fruit bags for sale? Cause then, you could just carry a bag of nuts around with you, and grab a fruit bag when it's time to eat.

Whatever you do, I'd take a multivitamin once a day before you leave for work or after you come back. I reckon if you're eating a burger every day for lunch, you can at least make sure you get vitamins...

Well I trying to be existential, but really both interpretations are valid.

See, that's where it gets entertaining. I actually work at a Wendy's (aka McDonald's knock-off for non-Americans). The only thing like that we sell is orange slices, of which I'm not very fond. However, you have given me an idea. I could always just bring a small cooler in with a couple of apples. I can't believe that hasn't crossed my mind before Confused

I'm at college now, and there's a badass gym, so hopefully I'll be working out more. I went this morning and lifted a little and ran a little and now I feel better about myself.

A. there has been plenty for me to regret, but I've accepted those things and forgiven myself and now I'm just happy to be waiting for bill to show up so we can go fishing.

B. I have been successful at and accomplished many things, and I've been happy in many ways, but now I'm just happy to be waiting for bill to show up so we can go fishing.

Start.

Drift off.

Start.

Drift off.

Start.

get slapped down by reality with a big pair of hobnailed boots, then kicked around a bit, then pissed on, then laughed at. Then it rains.

Start.

Drift off.

It seems that though I have stayed the same weight, that weight has shifted to my belly over the last year or so. This morning I woke up with a NASTY hangover, and started doing pushups and situps. Mmm, burning...Now if I can only keep it up.

I need a social life and I need to be more active.

Also, I need to follow guitar lessons, write more, draw more and excercise a bit more (I need some muscles, really. I'm skinny and all that, so it's not to lose weight. In fact:) I need to gain some weight. Preferably in muscles.

I need to do the things I've always wanted to do, damnit.
