i decided that i need to go to the gym 3 times a week, and so far i've gone 3 times this week. a good start! i'm extremely underweight, but also really flubbery, so having some muscles should be a good start.

I spend too much of my free time moping and thinking of things I should be doing or ways I could improve. The irony is the fact that the time I spend agonizing over these plans could be used to actually partake in them. So I came up with a solution. My new plan for self-improvement is to stop caring about self-improvement. Oh shit...

I exercise plenty (I'm even dropping weight!) and my social life is fine.

I will post in this thread again when I have succeeded in aquiring a job.

My goals of being a better cook/baker and losing weight are at odds with each other.

Yes, that is a problem. Well, if you had to choose one path, I'd go with the cooking/baking. If you manage to fatten up everyone around you as you gain weight, you won't notice any change. Right?

Actually there was that recent study showing that the more over weight individuals there was in a group, the more acceptable it became. Pretty common sensical, but it also showed that a major factor in a persons likelihood to gain weight is the number of overweight people they know.

Lift weights 4x's a week
45 min cardio 3x's a week

Do some kind of hiking or exploring every weekend.

Better prepare and personalize the teaching material for my classes.
Keep my energy up throughout the school day.

Somehow find a way to eat more veggies.

I wanna guess and say calories.

So in an effort to improve myself I am making a concerted effort to get more workflow out, hence 11.30pm and I am knocking off.

I assume this is telling us that you gained 2 pounds since starting this thread. maybe after losing 6 beforehand? anyway, weight loss is an irregular process. sometimes it's two steps forwards, one step back. no reason to be discouraged. like they say, nothing worth doing is easy.

I completely endorse this endeavor! In fact I'm hoping to market it as the newest fad diet.

Have you hugged your anorexic today?

I dont see the point of straining to eat healthy. I used to work at Arbys 6 days a week, 8-10 hours a day. I would eat 2 meals a day there for 2 years. I went home and sat on the couch or infront of the computer playing videogames. I smoked 2 packs a day (Lucky Strikes.) I was perfect weight for my height, my blood pressure perfect, my bad cholesterol was low but my my good Cholesterol was dead on. I never exersized unless I was drunk and had to do something (like go to work or something to the like) Id do push ups to force myself sober.

Now I pay attention to what I eat, or did, and I seem to be getting sluggish and putting on pounds.
