To think he was so close.

EDIT: Also, it goes interestingly with the recent Mother Teresa events, although Slick isn't quite... well, you know.

Wow that really hits home. Can't count the number of times I've tried to give up something for good, put up a good front the next day and fall right back into it. Weak-willed? Maybe, but old habits truly die hard.

Did not help that I was watching/listening to a music video using Man on Fire and Nickelback's Savin' Me when I read it. Perhaps a bit cliche but hey, set yourself up right and the emotions will flow.

Except he is manifestly NOT full of shit.

It's what you DO that counts, not what you watch on the boob tube.

Yes actually, he is. That's the point of the last panel, no matter what he may say or do out around other people, once he's on his own he still worships sex, money, and violence.

So he is full of shit, the sole difference between this and his previous behavior is that he is the only one to see it.

slick got into a real crisis last few comics (not only the last three, but last month or so)....he has become introspective and really struggling with his whole situation

it's interesting, after 7 years of being drawn characters really do get a life of their own.

Even tho tat draws the comic, and creates the story...it's really the readers that who make it real.

not sure where I am going with this...so i'll stop

I disagree Arc, he may still crave it but at least he's fighting the craving. Like any addiction, step one is to realize whats got you hooked.

He's not fighting it, if he fought it then he would try to ban it out of his life, but he doesn't. His house is still full of all that he "rejects". He's putting up a front to the world.
