I don't really need to see it justified--you're right, it could be here for any reason, but whatever it's here for, today's is rather crappy. If the joke must be recycled, there are tons of better jokes to recycle.

Of course Sinfest is one of the better comics around. That's why it's disappointing when it isn't funny--otherwise that'd just be normal.

I think you might have misunderstood the concept a bit, ktern. A webcomic does not have to be funny every single time. In fact, it does not have to be funny. Period. Sinfest might or might not be funny all the time, but it makes up for it with something else that's equally entertaining (read: not laugh out loud entertaining necessarily, but you get the point.) Besides, there's few comics out there who manages to be both well-drawn and funny at the same time. Sinfest is one of those few. And then there is, of course, people with difference in humor. In this case, regarding this particular arc, some people might find it funny, while others... won't. Tough. Ah well.

Seeing how I'm a complete sucker for puns, I loved this one.

And God damn, who the hell reads Garfield?

Well, that's what I mean, it's "low-class" humor. (Yes, to be fair, it's cute, although I greatly preferred the I'M ASLEEP!! YAY comic to this one.)

I think you might have misunderstood a bit as well--I clearly like Sinfest quite a lot, or I wouldn't be here. I don't need people to defend the comic as a whole to me.

Do you really think I meant to be grammatically correct when I used the phrase "better with the funny"?

or when I place punctuation marks outside of quotes, placing them inside seems to modify the quote

or when I make a informal add-on like that one or this one

I would rather have no comic than Garfield-level humor.

Of course jokes are recycled, nothing is new these days its impossible.

That's crap, actually. If you're going to make excuses for Tat's lapses, make them more believable.

Sinfest doesnt have to deliver everyday either, it is overall one of the best web comics around. Doesnt need to make you fall out of your chair laughing everyday.

AND I HAVE THE RIGHT TO POINT OUT WHEN COMICS ARE RECYCLED OR NOT FUNNY.

The mere presence of a cartoon cat and dog does not make a comic worthwhile for me.

clearly, you haven't read garfield in a while. garfield is so heavily recycled, it's threadbare. and that's stuff that wasn't very funny the first time.

this, now, this is funny. you've got the z's turning to n's, which is, in fact, something of the sound one might make when one awakens suddenly and not quite sure of what happened. plus, it's always funny when a cat as self-assured as percy does something klutzy.

works for me.

I've always enjoyed clever little comics like this... enjoyed though, never really laughed at.

And to be honest I didn't actually see the whole Z to N thing until people started talking about it. Embarassed

As previously noted by ktern, this may have well been in Garfield.

I don't think rolling over in your sleep is klutzy.

rolling over in your sleep, no. rolling over in your sleep and falling off whatever you are sleeping on, especially if you are a cat, that's klutzy.

This strip is more subtle than anything I've ever seen in Garfield (and not even that subtle), and it's decently clever as well.

But Garfield without Garfield, on the other hand...
