I agree. I would like to have them both in one, but barring that, I think the Casual thread would a be better, albeit not necessarily more intutitive, place for discussion about whatever we've been talking about.
While it would be nice to have separate forums for buttsex and politics, seeing as how most threads tend to somehow involve them both, I think tryng to keep them separate is futile. Hence having one forum be everything fun, intellectual, stupid, or no is, in my expert opinion, the best course of actions.
Also: Buttsecks. |
Y'know, I was just thinking that it would be possible to have the casual chat area be unmoderated while the others were moderated and kept on topic. *shrug* |

Probably not a bad compromise, but we'll see if Tat even appoints any mods at all. _________________ TatWatch - The Artist is: IN!

There could be a moderated area, and then a general unmoderated one, and then have the guidelines forum be locked except for Tatsuya, so that new people wouldn't have the excuse of having to wade through pages of discussions to get even a remote idea of what's going on. |

Why don't we just set some of the threads to 'stun' and some others to 'kill' and be done with it?
I notice none of the European's are interested so much in the hierarchy and 'boss' structure of the forums.
Okay, thats 'cos they're mainly sleepin' now. But still ... where is the pioneer spirit on this internets? |

I think they left it in 1789. We're still holding out hope though that it will turn up.

Well, I mainly said what I did as a compromise. I think that the best plan is to keep the forum as similar as possible to the old, but that's just me. The only change I would make would be to require the wearing of hats at all times. |

No, the closest way to keep it the same would be to have anarchy running rampant throughout every forum and every thread, all the while, hoping that some day people will self-regulate.
Self-regulation in this crowd! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! _________________ TatWatch - The Artist is: IN!

Moderation kills forums.
So long as the email authentication thing is sorted out, it should be ok. |

No, not really interrested in the structure. But I second that moderation beyond spam-killing would be bad. |
