This comic is awesome!

So many christians are so caught up in trying to be christian they forget that they're supposed to be trying to be like Christ.

I think he meant it as people who say that they go to church every sunday, pray, dont cheat, lie and just go on and on about the things that they have done yet you are not supposed to brag aobut those achievements because that is what you are supposed to do in the first place.

Isn't the point more that he forgot the real thing, as opposed to "being like Christ"? It's utter hubris to think you can emulate him.

I don't think he is trying to emulate Christ by buying action figures. But yes, his focus has shifted.

Thank you, I think that was a fairly obvious conclusion. Almost as obvious as the fact that I was making a joke.

A decent one at that... or at least I thought so.

This is more like it. Delisciously ironic.

Tastes like oblivious flavored chicken with a touch of schadenfreude for spice.

Although, out of context, Seymour's face in the last panel is the image of cuteness itself. Very Happy

I love this one... it says something I've been trying to figure out how to say for a while.

Let me try again:
"Don't be so caught up in things that you overlook the point."

Little guy is so happy with his Jesus stuff that he overlooks Jesus. If he was as good as he wishes he was, nothing could distract him from Jesus. He'll probably figure that out in a day or so then tear himself up about it. He needs to hang out with Budda to learn how to balance himself.

So sad. He really is like so many bubble-gum Jesus Freaks... So involved in the process that he doesn't even recognize the Man when he sees Him.
