MUST SEE KITTEN HERE.

maybe we can get her a modeling job, but we gotta see her portfolio, you know?

because i am a feminist person i am not going to say anything about her apparent predilection for sleeping her way into positions.

i'll put this under pleasures, because it makes me happy.

stephen colbert gives away his superpac money.

he talked about this on his show last night also, after a tribute to Ham Rove, who, like jezebel, ended up being eaten by the dogs.

well, one dog, anyway.

So one of my coworkers decided to freak me out... He snuck up behind my cube wall and waited for me to work on the computer for about five minutes before veeeery slooowly peeking his head up and staring at me.

I had NO idea he was there until he did that and my first response was "What the Ffffffffff.... oh my god." and then I couldn't stop laughing.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time, it was great. Everyone around me was confused because they didn't see what happened AND I didn't even swear (though I came close).

I've made a risky decision to order a laptop over ebay....it's risky cause it's an international order...I shelled out $900, risking it arriving damaged or not arriving.

It arrived.

It's a not sexy, but very very functional Lenovo y580 (it's god and ssd and hdd so shit be loding quickly.), I am a happy consumer.

I am getting rid of my desktop (giving it to my mom).

Got 90% of my shopping for Christmas finished. Which is a relief.

Finished the cookies for the bonus gifts.

Got a B in my class!

I knew I was going to pass, OK, I was 75% certain I was going to pass, but I figured it would be with a low C.

We usually make it from a can, but add milk instead of water. Then make little noodles, like alphabet or small shells. And add either babybel or tillamoo. Normally, that's it for dinner, but last night at the Duchess', we had plain soup, no noodles or cheese, and grilled cheese sandwiches with mayo and relish and tomatoes and two types of cheese in the sandwich.

This morning? Toast and speculoos.

now to the not-fucking-it-all-up part.

yeah, that, it worked

just finished hosting a holiday breakfast/white elephant swap with my friends. i got a beautiful fossil wristlet & a starbucks card Very Happy also made a light and fluffy quiche, bacon, and muffins, which thank goodness were enough because it was one of two quiches originally--the other one fell on the floor as i was taking them out of the oven. Sad we had a $50 price point, and everyone got really great gifts. my place was clean and the tree was up before everyone got there and the first people got there just as i put on real-people pants. i really count myself lucky to have these friends; they're amazing people. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Yay ShadowCell that is truly awesome!

And yay Sporko, I'm really glad your holiday swap went so well and you got to enjoy spending time with your friends.

My pleasure: Spent the weekend with my parents and had a blast shopping around town and hanging out at my place just chatting about everything and nothing.
