I saw that a few days ago. It made me sit there quite awhile after, dumbfounded at how awesome it was. |

So, in the past two days I've had two good interviews, two (unrelated) job offers, and applied for a fifth job would beat out all but one of the four others.

mine is more a HUGE pleasure: i still have two cats.
i got home a bit later than usual last night, and as i pulled into my parking space, my girl-cat streaked by with a coyote about a foot behind her. by the time i got out of the car, there was no sign of them, but she hadn't made it into the house, so i figured she got grabbed. then i couldn't find boy-cat, and was terrified the coyote had gotten both of them. i kept going outside with a flashlight, looking and calling. finally, after about an hour, i spotted boycat on the roof, but it took about another hour to coax him down. he settled down on my lap, but kept looking out the window as if he saw something (which is actually pretty normal) - but then he suddenly ran down the hall. i figured the coyote was back, so went to the door to see...and there was girlcat, all in one piece. she lost her collar - don't know if the coyote grabbed it and she managed to pull away, or if she lost it hiding from him - whatever, i have the cat. she was a bit stressed (which was not helped by repeated hugs, but they de-stressed _me_), but she's home. and they are both going to stay there - they have just been declared indoor cats. crossing fingers on how well that works out. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

Ooof, I'm glad they're okay, too! Girlcat sounds like she won some points in badassery.
Hope the transition to indoor kitties goes okay. _________________ Samsally the Gray |

thanks, all. i found her collar on saturday, just past where i saw her being chased. it's a break-away collar, and it was open, so i think the coyote did grab her, got the collar, and then it opened and she got free. although it feels like it took me 5 minutes to get out of the car, i think i did get out quickly enough that the coyote kept going.
so far, everyone is happy to be inside. in fact, i think both of them spent the first 24 hrs safe in high places (she was on the top shelf of the linen cabinet, he was on a box on top of a 6-ft bookcase in the 2nd room). freddy seemed a bit shaken too, so he must have been in the near vicinity. i did let them out some sunday afternoon (since i was home and it was broad daylight and there were people and dogs around). angelina went out briefly, and then immediately retired to the top of the closet...so i guess still a little shook, poor girl. she did purr at me saturday night, so she's feeling a bit better.
she turns 8 in a couple of weeks, fred did last month - so they may be ready to settle down. i hope. _________________ aka: neverscared! |
