It is raining! We were expecting another drought-filled summer, but we're getting thunderstorms from all over. Yay!

(three days later, I'll put this in the mixed bag thread lol "It won't stop raining!" Rolling Eyes )

The ice cream makes a nice scented crotch chiller - for the very hot days.

My last D&D session with me as GM went pretty smooth and it was hilarious with what everyone was up to. Makes me a little less nervous. Very Happy

I just found a $1.1mil error in a proposal we're putting together. It's a pleasure because I found it, I fixed it, and it improves our pricing. And I got some nice kudos (though a bonus check would be nicer...)

Got my housing offer at the university, got into the quads (where I wanted to be). Also received my registration time as well.

My LCD screen came in today. Amazing quality for a $30 screen, and it even came with an adjustable stand/mounting bracket, an adapter for the cable (some weird proprietary cable, but the adapter breaks it down into a standard RCA video input and 2 wires for +/- 12v DC), and a remote. It's tiny.

Also accepted the residence offer and made the down payment on it.

It turns out the nursing home that made my mom use the insurance from my grams passing to pay them wasn't actually allowed to take that money because her health insurance already paid them. So they had to give it back, and my other was able to buy an AC unit for the room I share with my kids. So this summer means no heat stroke for my toddler! Woo hoo!

(We are usually on a really really tight budget so we only had one fan for the three of us last year.)

Another day when it isn't 100 degrees outside. Raccoons tore open my trash and I had to clean it all up again which was a pain, but while I was doing that I found a new batch of flowers growing in the tall grass. Really pretty pink ones.
