I thought or a moment you were saying you also had a bachelor's in necrotic economy, and I wondered if economics professors were really becoming that cynical.

We made some really awesome chicken pot pie.

Which, yes, I am aware means we threw a bunch of veggies and chicken in a pie. But still... awesome.

Went to catch a friend play at a local bar and caught another photographer there. She knew who I was from my work(taking pictures of said friend). She runs a local photography page focused on local bands and is a fan of my photography. Blew my mind.

She was very cool to talk to about photography, too. Much unlike other "photographers" who take one look at my camera and tell me "You're not going to get any good shots with that."

Good music, good conversation, made networking contacts and found out that I have a good reputation that precedes me(I still don't believe it). Good night!

That's cool... I don't think I have a reputation to precede me. Glad yours is good (and for something talented).

I just got my final grades for last quarter... I'd been struggling to raise my cumulative GPA because... well... five years of undergrad classes makes for a pretty firm average. But I finally did it, in my last quarter, I rolled from a 3.89 to a 3.9.

Which is totally meaningless, except as motivation to keep getting As (an A- is a 3.7, and would have lowered my average). No one will give a fuck what my GPA was ever again (I hope), but it's like waiting for your car to roll over to 100,000 miles. I'd just been waiting so long. Figures it finally happened after it no longer matters. Wink

OHSU requires me to maintain a B+ average... But I'll probably never go to school again once I graduate, so it doesn't matter except in my perfectionist brain.

I finished 30 pages of thumbnails for my comic! Hallelujah, I ave now graduated to making fully complete pages of each of those...so nearly a year of work, if I only do one per week.

I am so convinced a cat is gonna puke all over these. I should take pictures of each page tomorrow, just in case.

And now she's asked me to be the official photographer for a massive fundraising event for her page next month. At least half a dozen bands will be playing. I'm kind of freaking out a little. Dunno if I'll be paid, but for the publicity gained by this I'd be willing to do this one for free. If another event like this pops up I'd probably want some money though, because this is probably going to be hectic.
