It's very clever! Had no idea what a fen was, though, so I missed it.

I may get to sit in on a D&D game with the people who are going to bring it to IOS. This should be awesome!

they came back! yeah, it was nice to be able to play my music loudly and sing and dance and talk to myself without worrying about what the others thought and yeah, the house is cleaner than it has been for a while (and stayed cleaner longer), but it's so nice to have them home again.

Shocked

I am super duper jealous, yet stoked to hear about this. My kids have started showing an interest in "all those books on the shelf"

Nice!

My Thursday night DnD sessions are one of the few things I look forward to each week.

My brain has a tendency to come up with worst-case scenarios so I was in a mild state of anxiety all weekend. The kids had fun in SF on Sunday and bought a lot of things (well, wing2 did; wing1 regrets not buying a few things) GeekBoy bought me a couple bottles of Viniq which you can't get here.

today's pleasure: granny smith apples and peanut butter

Did not get to go to the DND session because it was the end of a campaign and they are super super busy. But I did get to hang out with some cool game designing people at another event, with lots of puns and stories.

Selling my Magic cards is proving to be a slightly surreal experience.

Ultra-rare card that was worth $15.00 ten years ago is now worth a nickel.

Common that I have 20 copies of is now worth four dollars a pop.

Ok.

We thought our kitty Nebula might have to be put down, but it turns out she's just old, grumpy, and may have a cold. Plus, the vet didn't charge us much for the visit, so that's really good. And gave us cans of food that Nebs might want to eat.

I'm focusing on the good here, and not on the finger she bit. It hurts but there doesn't seem to be any infection. Luckily we noticed the blood right away and I treated it quickly. (stupid cat)

i can sympathize with feeling bitey when one is also feeling old, grumpy and sick...not that it makes things heal up any faster.
