I built a table for board gaming and tabletop RPGs over the summer, something along the lines of what GeekChic sells, only I call mine WeakChic. Smile

Took a good part of the summer to make, working here and there. Not counting the three panels that cover the center vault, it breaks down into five pieces to move, and even then the top is pretty heavy. Just needs to be stained and finished.

Meet Sandy.

I got her at the same place from where I got Finn, and the same place that did their best with Chloe. I seem to get their hard-luck cases. She wasn't getting adopted due to needing a prescription diet (digestion troubles and she's a bit overweight), and because she's rather mercurial about affection. She'll rub against you and nuzzle your hand for attention, but when she's through with that she'll nip at you and quickly move away. She doesn't break the skin, but it's still a little surprising when it happens, and I can see families with kids not wanting that. Doesn't bother me though. My main concern is how she and Finn will get along, but so far there's been no real aggression from either. She's hiding under the bed right now, but I'm sure she'll come around. Finn, of course, is in his litter box. Very Happy

The hospital was so pleased that I'd take her that they waived the adoption fee, so that's nice.

Congrsts on the new kitty, and especially on adopting one who isn't easy to find a home for. I hope you have many happy years with her.

yes, congratulations, and good on you for taking a hard-to-place cat. i'm sure once she settles in, she'll thank you for it.

is she as silvery as she looks in the photo? i really love all the variations in coats there are in "basic tabby".

No, she's fairly dark brown and black, with some white under her chin. That was just the super bright flashlight I was using to find her.

In these dark times I am glad my need to clean my grinder made me discover the wonders of kief.

Wait until you've discovered wax, dabs, and shatter. http://hightimes.com/grow/shatter-vs-wax-whats-the-difference/

Also, cutting it with catnip makes it last longer . . . or so I've heard.

The plants are cousins. You don't get high smoking catnip, but it's definitely relaxing, although it makes an awesome herbal tea -- I shit you not. The flavor is quite pleasant.

Alright, the end is nigh, not denying it, but! Right now is my favourite music festival of the whole wide world, http://leguesswho.nl/editions/2016/! (it's partly my favourite because that's my city)

I had expected to go into it with a different mindset, but I now all the more crave the daze that really really loud music can bring. Bring the noise, please.
