I had been in agony all week with a constant flu and thinking I had failed my last CHEM 121 midterm (VSEPR theory, resonance hybrids, and basic quantum numbers). Now my flu is pretty much cleared up and turns out I passed the midterm.
Even managed about 5% higher than class average.

Finally got my damn orders, I'm starting work in a prosecutor's office at Quantico on Monday! And Sarah and I found an apartment today, which I can move into next week. It's been a productive weekend. _________________ "Whatever afflicts thee, their asses I shall kick"

Paintball. In the pouring rain. For three hours. Something like 3,000 paintballs in total shot between everyone in the group. Funnest thing I've done in ages*. I want to try again when the snow comes, and again next summer.
* White water rafting on a category 5 river this summer was also pretty cool. Took about the same amount of time and cost about the same amount of money, too. I could see doing both of them again and again... _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. We found out we have a pair of burrowing owl in our garden.
My wife is so all over them, I'm starting to fear she'll shoo them off with all the kawaii. _________________ 我的氣墊船è£æ»¿äº†é±”éš |

Man, life has a funny way of working out. So Denmark is OK but nothing fancy, grad school actually really dissapointing, I am doing pretty much nothing, but fuck it: I feel super happy. And a girl who probably was the source of half of my whiny posts (regarding to girls anyhow...) has moved counties and in with me. It's like a slackers vacation; most of the time we just wake up at 2 in the afternoon, make some breakfast, watch some silly movies... I just don't wanna grow up just yet. _________________ When life gives you lemons, some people make lemonade. I just eat them and make a sour face. |

Spent the entire afternoon in the park taking photos for a friend's class project. Met a bunch of people that I really enjoyed (there were about 15 people in the shoot, and I only knew the one friend). Good times. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. Fun fact, I worked as a referee at a paintball field for a year or so, it was great fun... minimum wage, but I got a giant discount on admission and paintballs. One of the few jobs where you can get shot by the customers.
It's great fun that I highly recommend people try at least once. _________________ The Thirties dreamed white marble and slipstream chrome, immortal crystal and burnished bronze, but the rockets on the covers of the Gernsback pulps had fallen on London in the dead of night, screaming. - William Gibson, The Gernsback Continuum |

This here is just about the key to happiness, as far as I'm concerned. _________________ Scire aliquid laus est, pudor est non discere velle

Given your nick / (missing) AV of an eagle, this made me chuckle, like you'd just found a snack. _________________ The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.
