I did SO MUCH STUFF!

Wed - Perennial Beer and Askinosie tasting - yes, together and it was AWESOME.
Friday - Pop Evil and In This Moment Concert which was pretty cool (Springfield is a shit concert crowd)
Saturday - martial arts testing, Craft Beer Festival (SO MUCH BEER, SO MUCH DRUNK in the middle of the day), a nap, and driving to STL where we continued the partying until dawn.
Sunday - all day concert at Pointfest with Hollywood Undead, Volbeat, and Alice in Chains. Alice in Chains made everyone else look like fucking amateurs! My god the "new" singer is just amazing, absolutely amazing.
Monday - took the day off!! Crashed in STL Sun night, drove back in the morning, and just fucking chilled. Oh yes, and great sex complete with lounging afterwards. It was great!

This weekend is May long weekend for us Canucks, and my friend's going camping in a really nice area. I'm coming along, as well as some of our buddies from high school.

I'm picking up some nice cigars and a couple bottles of good strong mellow Hefeweizen ("King Heffy", from Howe Sound Brewery). The forecast for the weekend is sunny and warm.

It's going to be nice to be away from everything for 4 days, drinking good beer, sharing a good cigar with some buddies, and enjoying the outdoors.

edit: on a slightly less happy note the Liberal party won a majority. Meh. However, the one independent (non-party) candidate who won a seat won it in my riding, which makes me happy. I voted for her.

I imagine you are probably acquainted with Howe Sound Brewery then; excellent stuff it is. Come to think of it, maybe Vox and Tekii have as well.

I'm heading up towards the Harrison lake area, while avoiding the rowdiness of the southern Harrison and north Stave lake areas. Looking forward to a (hopefully) quiet weekend in the pine trees, as long as I don't get eaten by a bear.

Last time I was in Squamish, the jeep blew a brake cylinder while offroading, and we spent 5 hours sitting in the snow at the bottom of the trail. After being unable to find a replacement or fix the cylinder (it was busted), we ended up hammering the rear brake lines flat to maintain brake pressure in the front brakes. We finally left at about 11:30pm, and got home at 1 in the morning. Suffice to say, it was cold and dark, and the jeep had the roof off.

Bonus: I get to DJ the road trip.

My wife has decided to try another dog. This time a smaller one, more suitable to our current dogs temperament. We are going to meet him tonight. He's a rescued pug, named General Tso.

She wants to rename him, I'm insisting on referring to him only as "the General" though.

Gonna give him a bit more of a test before we commit to anything though. We got a head of our selves last time and it ended poorly.

Also, the previous dog found a nice new home so I'm happy for her. I get a little sad when I think about her though, she was so sweet to everyone but my dog. Now she can run and frolic with other big dogs.

It fits comically well because he is half the size of my current dog.

"These are my dogs, Henry and The General."

If Henry is average (~18-20lbs)... the General must be ridiculously small.

Can you find him a small, green military cap?

Henry is big. Not fat, just big. OK, a little fat. He's 30 pounds.

The General weighs in at just under 15. He has spent the last 4 years of his life in a crate for 18+ hours a day. He will grow.

Which wod be disturbing in light of this comic.
