What concerns me is that the dad can't get him into any programs until he is at least 8, so he is doing everything he can to keep him from getting bored.

It's really funny though, he's super knowledgeable about the science portion and can spell all these big words, but he doesn't have the ability to write them yet. He's 5, it's not really expected he be a great writer, he can make letters, they just look like a 5 year old wrote them.

You have potentially aided the next great savior of the human race, OR THE DOOM OF US ALL.

Seriously though that's flipping awesome. And good on you for staying to help him finish! (I suspect this may have tickled him pink-A scientist stayed behind to help HIM with labstuff!)

Love that you stayed behind to help the boy and that dad is supportive. Its sad that he has to wait until 8 years old to get into any programs.

My little pleasure is the world mythology class I am taking right now. Loving it!

hope you made note of the kid's name, ded - in a dozen years or so, you may be able to say you helped a nobel prize winner get started on his career in science.

I did. I assume he will be at the next class as well.

I have to find out the website, he apparently has videos of himself explaining stuff.

Listening to Trve Kvlt surf music and smoking a bowl. Life is good.

Just got an air conditioner so I can stop dying in this heat (a week straight of never getting lower than 27c at night does not do nice things to me. -30? Easy, just wear another layer or two. +30? Forget it)

It's awful, I have to have a cover to sleep comfortable, can't do that in 80 degree (f) weather.

Tonight I discovered a (rather large) duck trapped behind the gate of a closed shop, cowering in the corner furthest from the street. Even if the shop was definitely opening tomorrow morning it would probably be a 12 hour wait (it's not even 9pm yet) and nobody else on the street seemed to notice it at all, so I walked home to get a bowl and some water.

I'm back five minutes later, the duck is still there and still nobody is paying attention ( Sad why not?). The bowl is narrow enough that it slides through the bars easily. The duck immediately shits on the floor. I pour water into the bowl and push it towards the duck. The duck becomes frantic and charges for the gate, forcing itself through the bars.

Success, I guess.

Hahahaha - immediately shits on the floor? Feit I hope you don't get that reaction from girls when you approach them.
